Minutes of Annual General Meeting held 15th March 2007. Accepted as a correct record

MATTERS ARISING:


Woodland Trust  “Trees For All” campaign.

Hazel to send for information.. 

Sawbridgeworth Brook.

Clive Atkins had circulated a very good report on the current situation and it is hoped he will continue with this project.

Southbrook Allotments

A LEAF grant has been awarded for improved drainage to this site.
A connection has been made for solar power by Warren and he is willing to give a talk on this at the allotment shed.  To organise this at the next meeting.  Plants needed to place in planters outside the shed and children welcome to do this.

Group to go on one of these – perhaps in place of a formal meeting

A very successful and interesting visit and various members described this.

John Rider is awaiting contact from David Thorogood regarding this.

Herts Environmental Forum

This is to be held on 20th April at Tewinbury and anyone welcome to attend.  Warren will be attending so to contact him if you wish to go.

May Fayre

A successful event with £34.70 profit.  There is an on-going quiz and John Rider has copies of this for sale at £1. each – closing date 14th September with three prizes on offer.

Discussion but no decision made whether to participate.


High Wych Festival 7th and 8th July.

Representatives required on this which covers all of East Herts.  John Rider will discuss with David
Thorogood.

Farmers Market.

The first successful one had been held recently and a further one planned for 7th July.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING:

Discussion around the decision at last meeting to only meet bi-monthly.  Comments received since the last meeting  in March were that it would be preferable to meet monthly in future and decision to move back to meeting monthly – therefore next meeting on THURSDAY 21ST JUNE  8pm at The Hailey Centre.
