Letter received from Friends of the Earth and Stop Stansted Airport objecting to this proposed expansion. Next Community Voice meeting will discuss this proposed expansion. Information from David Thorogood on the launch of Picture of Change competition and anyone interested to contact him.
Notice Boards May now be produced with six walks on. Further leaflets starting to be produced.
Open Space Audit Secretary to write and request follow up information and feedback from this meeting.
Market Town Healthcheck Sue Birley explained her role in undertaking this and would be interested to meet with people or organsations involved in the well being of the town. Environmental worksheet available with list of buildings, nature reserves etc. - people to take these and discuss at the next meeting. Discussion on sites and buildings which may be missing from this list. A Local Plan had been compiled but never taken any further regarding possible registration, therefore this needs to be followed up. Sue to contact Wally Wright, local historian. Sue will be producing an action plan. With regard to history Ted told us about a "mounting stone" at the side of a house near the Pharmacy in Bell Street which was used to help a person get on to a horse.
Wind Turbines Diana and Warren had visited a conference at Fords, Dagenham. There is very little noise from these when working and currently there are 2000 on-shore and 1000 off-shore and 3500 more are needed. They last about 20/25 years and would cost very little to de-commission. Very favourable impression of these.
After attending a course Ted explained the careful procedure to follow if taking people for walks who have previously had heart attacks. Kecksys. A notice has been served by East Herts District Council and site to be tided by the end of January 2005. Esbies. 50% of the site can have buildings on and to clear the other 50%. East Herts Transport Form held on 19th October. Mark Fell was requested to have an up date on Fair Green but nothing received to date. There had been an article in the local newspaper saying this project had been delayed. Suggestion that there should be an Information Bureau/Museum in the town and to approach Museums Officer at East Herts regarding this.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE THURSDAY 13TH JANUARY 2005 AT HAILEY DAY CENTRE
