Local plan. To be discussed in Council next week regarding areas to perhaps be developed locally. Diana will pass on any comments. Meeting being held tomorrow in Harlow to discuss their local plan. Planning application now in for 25 flats to be built on the Texaco Garage site in London Road.

Esbies Estate. To mention this at Community Voice meeting on 25th March. Letter had been received by Council asking what is being done about the Order which has been served on the owner. Councillor Burdett is currently working on this.

Community Voice. Thursday 25th March 7.30pm at Memorial Hall. Presentation and display by Stort Valley - helpers needed. Rivers Orchard will have a display by Susan Clark from Rural Enterprise Trust. Constitution. To remain the same. Speakers. Speaker on otters to be invited to a further meeting. To also invite him to visit Pishiobury Park and River Stort for possibility of introducing otters there.

Any Other Business

Recycling. Britta water filters can be recycled and John Rider passed information on to Emma Jordan for the District Council to consider.

East Herts District Council. Emma Jordan explained that this group has the support of EHDC and although their headed paper is no longer used for our paperwork it may be possible for them to acknowledge their support with appropriate wording instead.

Transport meeting. Ted Burrows had attended recent meeting.

Air Quality. Monitor placed at police station on Cambridge Road did not register requisite amount of pollution and will therefore remain in place as lower requisites will be coming in. There is a meeting of executive committee next week and to ask for revocation of air quality management. Local residents unhappy about the state of the air locally. Steve Karn asked if the monitor could be recalibrated.

May Fayre. Sunday 2nd May. Committee to meet and discuss. Helpers needed for the stall.

Level Crossing. Stan Barker mentioned that due to parking outside the Antiques Centre in Station Road and the longer time waiting for the crossing gates to open, with the build up of stationary traffic, this was causing a dangerous hazard and there had been an incident of a vehicle being stationary on the level crossing. Sheering Parish Council have asked for double yellow lines to be placed outside the antiques centre. Diana Richards to put on the agenda for next Town Council meeting and said a letter from Sheering Parish Council would help. To also mention this at Community Voice.

Date of next meeting.

Thursday 15th April 8pm at Hailey Day Centre
