| Minutes of Annual General Meeting 24th March 2005. Accepted as a correct record. |
In the absence of the Treasurer, Warren Richards presented his report. Income from the May Fayre was £65 and there is a current balance of £750. Yellow, Green and Blue leaflets have now been printed.
Group had been a major contributor to the Open Space Audit which aims to increase play areas in the town. Three new walks leaflets had been published. We had attended the Examination in Public with regard to Harlow North in February 2006. Planted black poplars in Pishiobury Park. Elizabeth Waugh had organised a very successful biological recording day with Reedings School and now need to contact Biological Records Office to further this. Questionnaire available at May Fayre to ask people what they wanted our group to do but unfortunately nothing forthcoming. Sawbridgeworth Brook was highlighted by Bob Reid and Clive Atkins has continued with this. There have been improvements carried out by unknown persons with East Herts Council assistance. Ted Barrow has kept us informed regarding Stansted Airport third runway. Pedestrian walkways at Fair Green have been completed. There has been a visit to an Eco Friendly house in Hertfordshire. Supported Friends of Rivers Orchard and been successful in gaining a grant to purchase equipment in order to give Powerpoint presentations, which will be shared between the two organisations. Attended Environmental Agency electric fishing on the River Stort and Tim Waugh had given a talk on this and other environmental activities. We are represented on the recently formed Tourism Group in the town.
